My Organization Mission!

life hacks Apr 08, 2019

One morning I was doing my make up and decided I should turn on Netflix. I like to listen to Access Calls or music as I'm getting ready in the morning, but I had just finished watching both Seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maiselon Amazon Prime, and I was looking for something else  inspiring.

About 2 years ago I asked that all tv shows and movies I watched be a massive contribution to my life. And, they are getting greater and greater. Wink Wink.

This particular morning I switched on Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix.

Within an hour my floor was covered with stuff, I pulled apart drawers, I pulled things out of the garage; I was on a mission.

A month later I had spent around 40 hours, and 35 big garbage bags getting our home clear.

And we weren't hoarders beforehand. My husband Anthony is the tidiest man in the world and neither of us had  accumulated ridiculous amounts of stuff. We had just moved into a newly built house 2 years prior.

One of the most fun parts of the process was spending about 5 hours with my 10 year old daughter Aria. She and I went through her whole room and got rid of about half of her belongings.

She was so decisive and knew exactly what sparked joy for her, what she wanted to carry into her future and what she was looking to create as her room. I was inspired because I was never as clear on the life that I would like to have, by the age of 10. It made me realize how easily and clearly she can order ice cream, choose her friendships and pick out the clothes she would like to wear.

I was honestly quite surprised at how much Marie Kondo's method had changed our lives. There have been few techniques that have inspired me other than Access Consciousness, but she was such a gift to me.

I asked Gary Doulgas, the founder of Access Consciousness about my excitement and success in cleaning.

What I realized was, I had been asking to change my life, change my house, change my messiness for years.

Almost 3 years ago, Gary recommended that I watch "Extreme Hoarders" on Youtube while having my Bars run. I had also run, "What energy, space and consciousness can I be to be the insane slob I truly be?"

When I asked him about doing a class on this topic he asked me, "What do you know about organizing Julia, that no one else knows?" And he gave me the hilarious title of "Organizing When you Hate Organization"

I am ready for this new adventure and to open doors with people to create a space where peace exists. I didn't realize how much existed on the other end of an organized home. I realized where I could also organize my money, my bank accounts, my business, my parent's home, my clothing, my marriage, and my future.

What can you organize that would create the future you are looking to have?
